Cross Country Overview

The Dynasty continues...

The Covenant Cross Country dynasty continues, as the Boys Cross Country team captured their 7th straight TAPPS State Championship on Monday, October 31, 2022 in Waco.

After four straight Class 3A titles, the Knights have repeated the feat now for a third time at the 4A level. They were led by Senior Edward Graham, taking the 3rd place spot individually, completing the 5-kilometer course in 17 minutes, 13 seconds. Graham was closely followed by Junior, Logan Rice in the 4th place spot, finishing the race in 17 minutes, 23 seconds.

One other Covenant runner — Senior, Andrew Morgan — placed in the top 10, followed by Josh Hook, Jack Kern, Noah Thomason and Gibson Walker finishing in the top 20 to secure the team victory with 46 points. That's pretty impressive, as the second place team totaled 102. The girls team finished in the 7th place spot, with Freshman, Madeline Shaw finishing in the top 20.
