Kindergarten Teacher (Part-time) - Grammar School
About the Role
The Covenant School seeks a part-time Kindergarten teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in elementary education, along with a valid Texas state teaching certificate. Ideally, we are looking for someone with classroom experience and knowledge of Classical Christian and Charlotte Mason pedagogy. The candidate should be a mature Christian committed to lifelong learning and professional development, eager to nurture and inspire our students, and desire to work with a dedicated staff of administrators and teachers.
This is a part-time, ten-month position (exempt), reporting to the Grammar School Head.
Qualified Grammar School (E-5) teaching candidates should possess the following experience and expertise:
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and an interest in the subject(s) taught.
- Integrates Charlotte Mason principles within lessons.
- Maintains the student’s active interest in the lesson.
- Uses clear language and vocabulary appropriate to the level of the students.
- Explains and connects the unfamiliar with what is already familiar to the students.
- Uses effective teaching techniques, including narration.
- Checks for comprehension and does not presume on the students’ understanding of new terms and concepts.
- Frequently reviews and applies material learned.
- Uses and applies the classical method for the particular subject and grade level being taught.
- Plans lessons in order to achieve curriculum goals and prepares and submits lesson plans in a timely manner for administrative review.
All Covenant teachers serve as pastors (shepherds) of our students, advising them in their walk with Jesus Christ.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Proven track record of excellent teaching.
- Experience or interest in classical education and traditional pedagogy.
- Rhetorical excellence in the spoken and written word.

Classroom Teacher (Full-time) - Grammar School, Grades 1-5

Successful candidates should be mature Christians committed to lifelong learning and professional development, eager to nurture and inspire our students, and possess a desire to work with a dedicated staff of administrators and teachers.

Theology and Logic Teacher (Full-time) - Logic School
About the Role
The Covenant School seeks a full-time Theology and Logic Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Theology, Biblical Studies, Christian Education, Philosophy, or a related field. Ideally, we are looking for someone with classroom experience and knowledge of Classical Christian and Charlotte Mason pedagogy. Successful candidates should be mature Christians committed to lifelong learning and professional development, eager to nurture and inspire students, and possess a desire to work alongside a dedicated staff of administrators and teachers.
This is a full-time, ten-month position (exempt), reporting to the Logic School Head.
Qualified Logic School Theology and Logic teaching candidates should possess the following experience and expertise:
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of Scripture, theology, and Christian doctrine.
- Guides students toward a deeper understanding of God’s Word and its application to daily life.
- Integrates a distinctly Christian worldview throughout instruction and classroom culture.
- Maintains students’ active engagement through thoughtful discussion, writing, and inquiry.
- Uses clear language and vocabulary appropriate to the developmental level of Logic School students.
- Encourages students to think critically, faithfully, and biblically about theological ideas and questions.
- Explains and connects biblical concepts in ways that cultivate both understanding and wonder.
- Demonstrates an understanding of formal logic and the ability to teach students how to reason carefully, identify fallacies, construct sound arguments, and pursue truth through disciplined thinking.
- Uses effective teaching techniques that promote active learning, discussion, and reflection.
- Frequently reviews and reinforces concepts to deepen understanding and retention.
- Employs the classical method appropriate to the subject and grade level being taught.
- Plans lessons in order to achieve curriculum goals and prepares and submits lesson plans in a timely manner for administrative review.
- Teaches Bible and Formal Logic courses, along with other duties as assigned.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Proven track record of excellent teaching.
- Experience or interest in classical Christian education and traditional pedagogy.
- Experience or interest in teaching theology, apologetics, philosophy, or formal logic.
- Rhetorical excellence in the spoken and written word.
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a wholehearted commitment to Covenant’s Statement of Faith and Statement of Beliefs.
- Ability to support and advance the mission, vision, and core values of The Covenant School.
