The Covenant Fund

The Covenant Fund supports student experience, teacher development, tuition assistance, and highest priority projects. It equips teachers and staff with the tools they need to serve our students. It supports much needed funding for tuition assistance to make classical Christian education affordable for qualified students. Finally, it strengthens the programs, curriculum, and facilities at the School.

Areas of Impact for 2025-2027:

  • Student Experience
  • Teacher Development – Mentor / Master Teacher Program for rewarding and retaining our excellent teachers
  • Tuition Assistance
  • Highest Priority Projects – Frank Miller Field Turf Replacement Project
  • Strategic Reserve for Planning and Design Work on the future Grammar building

The Covenant Fund brings together various fundraising efforts into one giving goal. These efforts include our Golf Tournament, Auction, Community Partners Program, North Texas Giving Day, End-of-Year giving, Strategic Planning for the Grammar Building, as well as other general and restricted gifts cultivation.

Our 2-year Covenant Fund goal is $2.52M for '25-'27. As of December 1, we have received $579k toward our December 2 Giving Tuesday milestone of $600k. In addition to our annual giving projects, this 2-year goal includes the necessary 2027 replacement of the turf and concrete bed of our beloved Frank Miller Field, which is expected to cost ~$1.5M.

The Covenant Fund takes care of Tuition Assistance first, then tackles a highest priority project. With the Lord’s provision and the generosity of donors, if we have Tuition Assistance funds secured before the Auction, it will allow us to raise money for a specific project which is not budgeted with tuition dollars.

Our Highest Priority Project is the Frank Miller Field Turf Replacement Project. Built in 2007, Frank Miller Field was the first permanent facility that Covenant families built. The turf may seem like grass and ground, but it’s more than that. It is the ‘front porch’ of our school. Every student sets foot on it. It welcomes guests. It gathers our community. It builds the Covenant family. It is not just a field. It is a tool of ministry.

Every 8-10 years, synthetic turf must be replaced to ensure proper performance and safety due to wear and tear, heavy use, and UV sun exposure. We spend considerable energy annually caring for the field, but even our good care cannot safely extend its life beyond the outermost recommended timeframe. Our field was last replaced in 2017, so it's time to make a plan to address the turf replacement now. We plan to take 2 years to achieve our giving goal.

Tuition assistance

One of our goals at Covenant is to reflect the socio-economic diversity of the body of Christ. Approximately 20% of students attending Covenant receive tuition assistance. In order to assist eligible families, we invite support from generous families and the community. Over 32 years, tuition assistance has helped us build our student body, faculty, and our exceptional community. We thank God for tuition assistance and for all who contribute generously to support all that tuition assistance grants us. Non Nobis!
