HIGHEST PRIORITY PROJECTS

NEXT STEPS

Covenant’s athletic programs and physical education curriculum are extraordinary in their own right, and we are working to ensure that our physical spaces and facilities are commiserate in quality with the activities and competitions they host.

The Frank Miller Field Special Project will include a new turf field as well as a much-needed new concrete slab. The life of the turf will be extended to the maximum use-life that is safe, getting as much possible use out of one of our favorite amenities on campus. By 2027 we will need to spend $1.5M-$1.7M to replace the turf and the concrete. We will use the opportunity to shift the field slightly closer to LBJ, giving us an extra foot of sideline space in front of the bleachers.

Accomplishing our Paving the Way Campaign goals in 2024-2025 helped pave the way to welcome our new Head of School, Melissa Hill, into her role. With these projects completed, together, we can tackle the much larger and more complex Grammar School Campaign and logistics planning. To discuss the timing of the Grammar School project or the Frank Miller Field Special Project, please contact Director of Development, Holly Hook, at 214-358-5818 ext. 4515 or [email protected].

Our current turf field has served us well for many years!

Frank Miller Field was the first permanent "structure" built out on our campus.

PAVING THE WAY- COMPLETED

In May 2025, we received all the funds needed for our $2.519M goal for 2024-2025! Praise God! The generosity of our community allowed to complete the following aspects of our campus master plan:

An East Parking Lot with about 70 additional parking spaces to accommodate visitors, student drivers, and a return of the "playground culture" where there is room to park and play on the playground while waiting for older children to come out of school.

Expanded Bleacher Space on Frank Miller Field to accommodate 400 more fans at games, for room for almost 1,000 fans, showing hospitality to our community and visitors.

Security Welcome Center at the main (east) entrance where campus visitors are greeted and directed where appropriate.

New Scoreboard for Frank Miller Field to replace the original one, which served our school well for many years but was in dire need of replacement.
