Meet the Fine Arts Faculty

Rachel Summey graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with her Bachelor's of Arts in Theatre. Her classically training in acting had an emphasis in Shakespeare and ancient texts. Rachel is passionate about drama, particularly for classically-educated, Christian students, because it is an embodied art, allowing students to become instead of to produce. Using our bodies to breathe life into a text is a way of pointing to the incarnation, to the Word that became flesh, and Rachel loves teaching young students the gift of sharing stories to the glory of God.
