Logic School Coordinator

Job Purpose

The Logic School Coordinator is an integral part of the administrative team at The Covenant School and is the ‘first-face’ and initial point of contact for students, parents, and teachers in the Logic School.  He/She is responsible for aiding the Head of Logic School and Assistant Head of Logic School in administering and coordinating all aspects of day-to-day operations. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Logic School Coordinator’s duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Communication
    • Share in the cultivation of a spirit of joy, grace, habit formation, and pointing Logic Students toward the greatest Good.
    • Coordinate all internal and external communication from the Logic School as directed by the Logic School Head.
  • Event Coordination
    • Manage all Logic School events and coordinate with adjacent departments to schedule any events held in Logic Hall.
    • Coordinate annual field trips.
    • Serve as a Logic School representative for PTF or parent events hosted on campus.
  • Scheduling
    • Students
      • Build and coordinate Logic student schedules for the academic year and input in the online student information system.
      • Manage locker assignments.
      • Communicate and schedule disciplinary events.
    • Faculty/Staff
      • Create faculty teaching schedules and input them into the online student information system.
      • Create Duty Roster (lunch duty, carpool duty, detention, etc.)
      • Help the Office Manager manage/fill substitute positions.
      • Schedule and manage the Head’s calendar.
    • Create special schedules for Logic School as determined by the Head.
  • File/FACTS Management
    • Attendance Record Keeping
    • Maintain Logic student files
    • Maintain files for Continuing Education Data for Logic faculty
    • Input new Logic faculty into FACTS and onboard them as new faculty
  • Curriculum Support
    • Ordering textbooks and assisting teachers with keeping an inventory of resources
  • Office Maintenance
    • Coordinate and maintain supplies for Logic School.
    • Stay apprised of and manage the service/maintenance/aesthetic needs of Logic Hall.
  • General Administrative Duties
  • Financial management
    • Maintain record of departmental budget expenses by department and program and provide monthly reports to the Head.
    • Identify and code departmental AMEX expenses.

Qualifications

All employees of The Covenant School must consistently exhibit the fruits of the Spirit and spiritual maturity, serving as Christian role models both in and out of school.  They must also set an example for parents and fellow faculty members in speech, actions, attitude, judgment, dignity, and respect while living in obedience to God’s Word.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and self-starter
  • Experience with middle school-age students preferred
